What time are puzzles published each day?

A new puzzle is published every day at 8:00 AM UTC.

Why does a puzzle’s date differ from my local date?

Puzzle dates are in UTC, so depending on where you live, a new puzzle may appear late in the evening or early in the morning.

What are the circled letters?

Each answer has circled letters. When rearranged, the circled letters from all the answers spell the theme.

Are the puzzles made by AI?

No. Every puzzle is written and checked by a person, with the help of reference tools such as dictionaries, thesauruses, and anagram finders. No AI is used.

What do the 💡 hints mean?

A bulb is added each time you reveal a letter or a clue type. Your hint count is saved with your result and shown when you share it.

What is Expert Mode?

Expert Mode hides the checkmarks for correct answers, the hint buttons, and the circled-letter helper. Turn it on under Game Settings on the Me tab.

Can I play older puzzles?

Yes, under Previous Puzzles on the Puzzles tab. Free accounts see the free puzzles; Pro unlocks the full archive.

What does Pro include?

One puzzle is published each day. Free accounts get the Sunday puzzle; Pro gets every day’s puzzle, the full archive, and statistics on the Stats tab. See Pricing.

Does my progress sync between devices?

Solved puzzles and the clues you’ve got right sync to your account. Letters you’ve typed but not finished stay on the device where you typed them.

I subscribed on another device. Will Pro work here?

Yes. Pro is tied to your account, so sign in with the same account. Manage or cancel the subscription in the store where you bought it.

How do I cancel my subscription?
